Attention: If you haven't yet heard, Refinery 29 has finally come to San Francisco! As my go-to site for daily reads on emerging fashion trends I was beyond thrilled to hear that our little city by the bay has joined the ranks of New York, Los Angeles & Chicago by being the fourth city launched on the site. Aside from fashion trends, this hyperlocal site covers dining, art, culture, makeup and hair trends all written by local experts daily, making it a online destination not to be missed. To welcome R29 to San Francisco, myself and many other R29 readers were invited to a private party at Sloane where we danced to the beats of the DJ {still wish he played this song}, sipped fancy cocktails and posed for silly photos. Though fashion industry parties in San Francisco may be smaller than those in NY or LA, some girls in our city have serious style and it's always fun to mingle amongst them all!

I died and went to 70's bohemian heaven after I saw this new lookbook by Nasty Gal. Photos like these make me want to pack up my bag, and leave the city for the beach...forever.

Get Inspired

It has been far too long since I have updated this silly little blog of mine and to tell you the truth, I miss it. Since I have started at the Academy of Art in January my time has been spent, drawing, writing, sewing, studying and making dates to meet up with friends to unwind in between. As much as I miss my leisurely days before I started this new endeavor, I truly have never been happier. In the recent months I have challenged myself more than I ever have simply by pursing an education in Fashion Journalism whole heartily, and the feeling is indescribable. I never liked school, mainly because I was never passionate about the field I was studying prior to this, but now that I have submerged myself into this field and know how rewarding the experience is, I encourage everyone who has ever thought about going back to school to further their education in something they truly love, to do it. Other than spending my days at school, I have been helping a dear friend with a fundraiser she is putting on for her dad who is battling pancreatic cancer and getting involved in Roots of Peace, a non-profit started by my friend Kyleigh and her family. I feel so grateful for the short 24 years I have been on this earth and more and more each day I feel inclined to give back as much as I can. If you have read this far into this lengthily and somewhat random post, thank you and bare with me as I will be making a conscious effort to update this blog more often!
